What the Early 2000’s Taught Us About Evening Wear for Daytime
It has been 20 years since Sex & the City first aired and this has been the absolute talk of the town lately. I will leave it to other, more qualified writers to espouse what we learned from this series and what it meant about our social norms. When it comes to fashion however, I will happily discuss one thing it ingrained in our collective psyche that I still have not forgotten: evening wear for daytime. Let’s backtrack a moment and remember who costumed the fabulous foursome: Patricia Field. A visionary in how she costumed both tv shows and movies, Pat taught us so much about how a women…

An Afternoon with Kroger + A Fantastic Contour Palette
Two weeks ago I had the privilege of attending a Kroger Beauty event at the beautiful Sole Repair shop in Capital Hill. We had amazing food, beverages and beauty pampering sessions. It’s always great to connect with other bloggers especially under such luxurious circumstances. I got my nails and makeup done and absolutely fell in love with the Maybelline Master Contour Palette that Kori from @Chromatiquesalon used on my face. I felt like I was glowing! This past week I popped into my local Fred Meyer store and there it was! The palette of my dreams just ready for me to take home along with all of my other grocery…

The Official Color of Summer 2018: Lilac
It was absolutely everywhere during the Spring 2018 collections and now it’s official: Lilac is the color of the summer. Also the trend doesn’t seem to be a hint of the color like with most bold trends. Instead the preferred way to wear lilac is head to toe, which is exactly the kind of statement I can get on board with. Perhaps this is why the appeal of lilac is so vast, anyone can wear…

Life Update: A Month off and What’s Next
It has been just under a month since I wrote my last blog post. Just under, because I actually published it late for reasons I am about to discuss. For the month of May I took my first ever ‘intentional’ month off from blogging in over 4 years. I wish I could say it was for ‘self-care’ or relaxing, but it wasn’t. It was out of pure need and a bit of desperation, but all is well that ends well. For those of you who don’t know, last year in March when I quit my day job to pursuing blogging full time. My husband and I already owned one business…

The Best Skirt EVER from Ganni
There is a cult following behind the Copenhagen-based label Ganni, and for good reason. Everywhere you look you see ‘cool’ women throwing on their easy sweaters, dresses and separates like they were their favorite pajamas. ‘Effortless’ is a Ganni description of their Ganni Girls, a Copehhagan girl squad of women we all aspire to be. I have been personally following the label for some time despite the fact that it isn’t very easy to get a hold of in Seattle. Your buying options are Pipe & Row (thank you for carrying them!) or the internet, so when an opportunity arose to visit their Pop-In during Fashion Week in NYC I took…
