Welcome Back Neon, Just in Time for Winter
Oh neon, how I love your highlighter bright hues. My love affair with neon started one infamous Fall/Winter season when Michael Kors famously introduced neon to his normally neutral runway. Ever since that 2009 collection sumptuous green neon knits and solid colored fur trapper hats have always been something that for me, never goes out of style. Unfortunately that’s not how trends work though so I was thrilled this season when neon for winter came back into style. This year’s neon trend is a bit different than than my over the top favorites of the past. Rather than doing head-to-toe neon this year is more about subtlety. Neon layers and…

The Printed Suit You Need this Fall
I love a good suit. You can wear it as all one look or break it up into pieces. Having ‘too many blazers’ has never been a problem that anyone laments suffering from. It was over the top, gaudy and magical and I of course had to buy it. Little did I know that plaid and chain prints would be huge this year! At NYFW it was hard to miss that the Versace inspired chain print was already a huge trend for Fall 2018. Not only did I see the same Zara scarf/chain print dress on at LEAST 10 people but there was a lot of creative styling of this trend as well. This is an…

3 Pieces of Advice for Bloggers: Overheard at NYFW
Bloggers of all kinds seem to love to write posts about giving advice to each other. How to get started, how to be a blogger and how to make money. Those are big topics that bloggers like to cover however I usually don’t agree with the format in which they are shared. I think that 80% of blogging you learn by doing and the other 20% no one is going to tell you for free on the internet. But every so often I am put in a position to learn from women who REALLY have wisdom to share and you bet I take notes. I found myself in that position…

Fall 2018 Trends: The Art of Print Matching
This fall is all about prints. From clashing prints to chain prints to florals, you can’t go wrong wearing a strong print. While mixing prints may seem like the out of the box option here there is another trend at the moment that gives people pause; print matching. This means wearing one print, head to toe and there are a few tricks to help you pull it off. Why We Love It In a world of making a statement via what you wear printed clothing is a great way to do it. When we put together two printed items we essentially create what looks like one garment of a single…
