Get this Fall ’17 Runway Look Straight from Your Closet
Zara sweater similar HERE | Trousers (old) similar HERE The Fall 2017 runway shoes have come to a close and now we are all ready for Fall, even though Spring hasn’t even come yet. That doesn’t mean you can’t embrace some of the upcoming season’s trends early, especially when they are already living in your closet. The Joseph collection at London Fashion week was to me one of the most easily wearable collections perhaps because so many of the items shown either looked like something in my closet or something that I desperately needed in my closet but one particular look really stood out to me: the blush oversized turtleneck…

4 Emerging Trends From Fall 2017 Fashion Week
Just like that London Fashion Week is a wrap and boy do we have some exciting trends to show for it. While I found New York fashion week to be a little less than inspiring some of the key trends showing up in London seemed to be a hit on both sides of the pond so we will cover both London and New York in this recap. The theme was a comforting one: where we usually are scrambling to go and buy new items to fit the new ‘trends’ of a season, for Fall 17 the sillhouettes are familiar and the style is accessible. London Fashion Week: Street Style Ready
ASOS Sweatshirt | Pink Aviators | Acne studios Beanie | Pants Finders Keepers | Cobalt Coat Fashion week Part II, aka London is upon us and I couldn’t be happier. I recently read an article about how Raf Simmons taking over the helm of Calvin Klein was perhaps the worst thing to happen to American fashion in a while. Their reasoning: American fashion has become a bit one-note and we are now importing ‘American fashion’ from Europe. Despite the 80s revival, the American power house designers of the 80’s simply aren’t showing up anymore, neither are the majors of 90’s etc. Marc Jacobs’ brand has all but dissolved, Donna Karan…

Paris Fashion Week: ‘We Should All Be Feminists’
Paris fashion week is coming to a close and I have a confession to make: Paris is by far my favorite Fashion Week City season after season. Paris is for the purists, those who want their thoughts about what is fashion to be challenged, who want to be the first to witness the change even if we aren’t ready to adopt it. Balenciaga, Givenchy, Dior, Celine: these houses that aren’t just labels and while quite a bit of creative direction has been juggled lately each season seems to be a quest to redefine what fashion is through their own lens while remaining true to the original founder’s vision. If you…

Milan Fashion Week: Classic Heritage Style with a Twist
Milan Fashion week started out with a bang, or a splash or whatever you would like to call the runway magic that is Alessandro Michele’s Gucci collection. While Gucci has certainly been bringing extravagant style to the runway the aesthetic in Milan is usually slightly more muted, very classic and timeless. That being said, some of the hottest fashionistas in Italian fashion lately also happen to be some of the most cutting edge. Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini are street style favorites that I am sure you have seen on all of your favorite street style blogs incorporating their heritage Italian style with the latest trends of the season. In…
