Hello Yellow! The Color of Spring 2018
Something fresh and cheery emerged in the Spring 2018 runways, a color pop that we all can feel great about: Yellow. From lemon to mustard this saturated bright hue was absolutely everywhere. It may have stemmed from a need for a certain cheeriness in our future, or perhaps a need for a tropical vacation, but regardless this lemon trend is one we can all get on board with. It’s very easy to wear yellow, you simply pick a yellow item and wear it. To make it a bit more relevant for winter time though I decided to pick two items that happen to be majorly on trend and layer them…

Yup, I caved. For someone who has been wearing all-red looks for quite some time I couldn’t let this ‘monochromatic red’ moment pass me by, especially just in time for the holidays. I didn’t even mean to create a head to toe red look when I started putting together this outfit. Originally it was supposed to be an ’80s hot pink and red story but the wardrobe gods had other ideas. I loved the over the knee boot that matched my dress with just a hint of leg peaking through, but I just couldn’t take it full 1980’s with a pink blazer. On a whim I threw on this patent leather…
