The Go-To Outfit
Aritzia Jacket (ancient), Hoodie Brandy Melville, Jeans Zara similar here, Handbag Aimee Kestenberg, Sunglasses Ray-Ban We all have them, those few favorite pieces that we love, wear when we are feeling sick, traveling, don’t know what to wear, just want to feel cozy etc. You are looking at mine and it has actually become an outfit over the years. The green Aritzia jacket has had its pockets re-sewn several times and I have probably worn this Brandy Melville hoodie more frequently and more consecutive times than anything else in my closet. These Zara pants just happen to feel like sweatpants and the snakeskin ankle boots are my go to when…

Green, White and Blue.. Go Seahawks
Sunglasses MICHAEL by Michael Kors, Pants Zara similar here and here, Jacket Forever21 similar here, Tank Forever21 in stores, Shoes Zara, Bag Zara Let me preface this post by stating that it will be about fashion, but first we have to talk about sports, but I promise it will have a point in case you aren’t the sporting type. In case you haven’t heard or do not care, Seattle’s football team the Seahawks happen to have won the Superbowl last year in an incredibly smashing victory over the Denver Broncos. Blue Suede Boots
If you ever happen to stumble upon Blue Suede Ankle Boots you should probably buy them. If they are remotely comfortable and inexpensive then you should definitely buy them. They were very attractive, comfortable and functional and fit in with my other 4 pairs of tan ankle boots that all look relatively alike. Long story short one of my friends whom I…

Smile, it’s Spring- Love ZARA
Zara Jacket here, Zara pants here, Zara shoes black here, forever21 blouse (old), World Market Necklace (seriously!) old. I opened a Zara box today (in case you can’t tell, yes I love the store and yes, I probably shop there too frequently, but I admitted it right?) Anyway, this charming little sticker was holding the tissue together that said: Ok, maybe I made up the “it’s” part, but it was implied. What a lovely gesture from the company to remind me that flowers are blooming and that here in Seattle, it’s raining. A lot. (a note on this necklace: It was purchased at World Market, a place my mother loves to go for…

the Cult of Zara- Seattle style
Zara Blouse (here), Michael Kors Skirt (old) (nordstromRACK),Zara shoes (old) similar (here), Zara Handbag (larger version here) ZARA: The world’s largest retailer. When Zara first appeared on this Seattleite’s radar it only appeared on foreign fashion bloggers or New Yorkers only adding to the mystique and wonder of this Spanish retailer. The clothes Zara produced were ridiculously on-trend and better yet, inexpensive! *relatively speaking depending on what your usual shopping price point is, but more on that later.* Occasionally a friend would go on a vacation and return with colorful, perfectly tailored trousers (back when colored trousers weren’t a thing) or an avant garde blouse that looked like nothing you had…
