The expected heavy hitter was of course Gucci although it wasn’t the plethora of tiered dressed with an abundance of accessories that stole the show. Instead a simple pair of ripped jeans and a cut up classic Gucci tee shirt with the words ‘common sense is not that common’ worn over a chain mail body suit stole the show. Who ever thought that a sweatshirt could be evening wear? Thanks to Vetements, a sweatshirt can now be your entire outfit. The phenomenon of this French breakout label can’t be ignored especially when the queen herself, Celine Dion in an exceptionally meta moment dons the Vetements Titantic sweatshirt for a jaunt about town. The irony is real and so is the iconography so don’t expect this trend to be going anywhere anytime soon.
