The Best Winter Lip Color
There is something so romantic about a dark lip in the winter. Your skin tends to be a bit more pale, your cheeks a bit more rosy, both contrasting beautifully with a purple or burgundy shade. As you have probably seen in recent posts my lip color has shifted rather quickly away from the sunny brights of summertime and instead have taken on a considerably darker pallor with the changing of the seasons. I have a few older go-to dark lipsticks but when I felt as if I needed a fresh new look and what I found I can’t seem to stop wearing. MAC’s PRO Lipstick in SIN is an incredible, vampy burgundy that tips just enough toward purple to add some powerful depth to the lipstick.
This particular lipstick is a Matte finish lipstick. I prefer my strong colorful lipstick to be Matte because I find they stay in place longer and have a fuller color although they do tend to dry out your lips a bit more. My favorite brands that do the best Matte finish lipsticks are MAC and NARS. Almost all of the lipsticks I own are from of these two brands. This lipstick SIN does have a hint of a gloss to it despite it’s overall Matte finish which just adds to its appeal and it doesn’t hurt that I first saw it being worn by a blonde, so it’s not just olive skinned brunettes like myself that it looks great on. I know how hard it can be to find a great lipstick, believe me I have purchased enough duds that I thought would be spectacular, so I hope my insight may help you either try a shade outside of your comfort zone or share my experience with this fantastic color. Thanks so much for reading, outfit details below. Cheers!
