T-shirts and trousers, they may not be the most traditional of pairings but in today’s more casual workplace I find this unexpected combo very freeing. I chose the term ‘freeing’ because when we all get dressed every day we strive to express out individuality through our clothing. If we must meet a certain level of formality often that means we pass up our favorite casual items. This doesn’t necessarily have to be the case. A jacket paired with a trouser will always be appropriate in any office so why not throw a t-shirt underneath and add a touch of personality to the look? If you have even fewer guidelines perhaps you can use denim jacket such as the one I am wearing today.
